rev Jerry field

Rev Jerry Field is our Vicar. He trained for church leadership at Ridley Hall, Cambridge and was part of the original planting team coming as Curate under Graham Singh. Graham left to plant another church and Jerry took over as Vicar in 2013. Prior to ordination, Jerry studied at Durham University and worked for the Commonwealth Secretariat and for Holy Trinity Brompton, training chaplains to run Alpha in the prisons and armed forces. Jerry is married to Camilla and they have two young children.

Jon is our Pioneer Minister. Before he came to St John’s he was Minister-in-Charge of St Catherine's Church, Dublin for six years. On returning to the UK he helped lead and establish a church plant in West London, and then became the Team Vicar at St George’s Tolworth. Jon has a heart to train and equip the church in the ministry of Jesus. Teaching people how to pray for each other, to hear from God together, to grow in the spiritual disciplines of prayer and fasting and to create worshipful spaces for engaging and encountering God.

Jon is married to Kathryn and they have two children.

Anna is our Curate and carried out her training at St Mellitus Theological College, London. Before becoming ordained, Anna served on the staff team at St Saviour’s, Sunbury as Community Pastor and prior to that, she spent a number of years working for Tearfund. Anna loves to be able to encourage others to grow in their relationship with Jesus - seeing them flourish in who He has made them to be. She loves people, and is passionate about building community, and drawing people together. Anna is married to Ben, and they have a daughter called Evangeline. Anna loves time with family, books, the seaside, coffee and having a houseful of people eating and talking.



lewis dean

Lewis is an Ordinand studying at St Mellitus Theological College alongside his role here at St John's. Lewis is passionate about coming alongside others to encourage exploring and experiencing the transforming love of God and authentic community. Lewis also has a heart for prayer, hearing the voice of God and growing in intimate relationship with Jesus. He is married to Louise and has a keen love for football.



tom simpson

Tom is an Ordinand studying at St Mellitus Theological College alongside working at St John's. Tom is passionate about people experiencing the freedom and joy of a relationship with Jesus. Previously Tom worked on the BHS graduate scheme and then for Holy Trinity Brompton, growing the Social Transformation ministries. Tom is married to Kayleigh and they love good food and music.





Penny is our Operations Director. She worked at Holy Trinity Brompton for 6 years before meeting and then marrying her husband Rowan. She spent 10 years raising their three children before joining St John's Hampton Wick in 2011. She is passionate about the church and the positive influence it can have on society and enjoys playing her part in ensuring it thrives. Penny is also our Safeguarding Officer.

Philippa is Jerry Field’s PA and our Courses Manager and joined the staff team after working in the finance industry for 14 years. She has been a member of St John’s since doing her first Alpha Course here in 2012, and loves helping to run Alpha here now. Philippa is passionate about the local Church’s role in transforming lives and building community. She lives locally in Hampton Wick and, being Welsh, loves music, singing and the outdoors. Philippa is also PCC Secretary.

Prabhath is our Operations Assistant. He moved to the UK in 2003 from Sri Lanka. He studied Business Administration at the University of Buckingham and prior to starting at St John’s he worked in the planning and logistics sector for McLaren and RPC Group.

Prabhath manages Site and Bookings at St John's and also assists the Operations Director with Events, Finance and HR.

In his spare time, he loves running and playing cricket. He is married to Kamila, and they have a son, Ryan.

clare hogan

Clare is our Student Pastor. After graduating from Social Sciences at the University of York she had the privilege of being a Student Worker for a year at The Belfrey church in York and absolutely loved it. She joins us after taking a year out to tour the UK with Matilda the Musical as a chaperone and is excited to be back working with students again!

Clare is passionate about seeing people reach their full potential in Christ and is excited about challenging social norms with our God-given creativity.

She loves to travel and go on adventures, and would be happy if she could eat breakfast for every meal of the day!





Jamie is our Youth Pastor. Before he came to St John’s in May 2019, he was at Holy Trinity Claygate where he spent 5 years, 3 of which he was the Trainee Youth Minister. Jamie has recently completed a degree at St Mellitus Theological College in Theology & Youth Ministry.

Jamie is passionate about getting alongside young people and encouraging them to find their identity in Jesus.

He is married to Emily and has a son, Noah. He is also an avid Tottenham fan, jungle speed champion and Nandos lover.



emma-jane stapleton

Emma-Jane (EJ) is our Youth Worker. She moved to St John's from Southampton in 2017 where she studied her A-Levels in Maths, Physics, Economics, and Sociology. She loves music, nature, and spending time with friends (especially when it involves hot chocolate!). She is passionate about young people gaining an understanding of their identity in Jesus and has a heart for mentoring and social action.

EJ also looks after procurement and helps out with Events and Prison Alpha.

Lee Herdman

Lee is our Head of SJC (St John’s Children). He graduated from Winchester University nearly 20 years ago and since then has been a teacher, regional children's leader in the church, and Headteacher. He is currently Headteacher of a primary school in Surrey. Lee has written a number of books about all-age bible engagement, and how parents can support their children as they transition into primary and secondary school. He is passionate about providing children with opportunities to encounter God, and growing leaders to support this. In his free time, alongside serving at St John's, he enjoys travelling, books and being with friends.

Kamila Stefanik is our SJC Ministry Co-ordinator. She was born and educated in Poland. She moved to London in 2008 and has worked in primary education for the last 10 years as a teaching assistant. Her life was transformed almost 3 years ago when she found Jesus. Her dream is to see more people being released into the Kingdom of God and stepping into His freedom.

She is passionate about healthy living and likes to cook (especially new recipes!). Kamila is married to Prabhath and they have a son, Ryan.

Amy Blake

Amy is one of our SJC Interns. She lives in Claygate and is near to finishing her MA degree in Graphic Design. She has been coming to St John's since 2017 and has enjoyed being an active member of the students group where she felt her relationship with God grew stronger.

She started volunteering at SJC but is now excited to be part of the intern team.


Megan Blake

Megan is one of our SJC Interns. She recently graduated from University where she studied Illustration. She joined St John’s in 2017 and since then has grown a passion for welcoming new people to church and helping them with their journey to God. She loves to draw and enjoys doing prophetic art through worship. She's also part of the Student Connect Group where she loves meeting up with her friends and sharing discussions. She feels privileged to be part of the St John’s family.




James is our Worship Pastor. He is also a songwriter and has been involved in a number of well known recordings. James went to art school in Chelsea and has a degree in fine art. James was previously Worship Director at Hope Church Islington and Worship Pastor at St Dionis Church in Fulham.

James came to faith in Jesus as a young boy and is passionate about seeing the local church built up and the worship team doing an effective job of leading God’s people in His praises!

James loves watching and playing football. He is married to Catherine and has a son, Maximilian.



Cressida Bell

Cressida is the Worship Intern here at St John’s. Cressida has been involved in worship in her previous church and other events. She has a passion for seeing God moving through worship, whether that be by playing her guitar or simply serving others!

Growing up in Oxfordshire, she has a great love for nature and all things green, but enjoys the buzz of city life and has moved here to study Product and Furniture Design at Kingston School of Art.

She is keen on coffee, design, and all things sustainable.
