WHAT IS THE MARRIAGE COURSE?
The Marriage Course is a series of seven sessions, designed to help couples invest in their relationship and build a strong marriage. It was developed by Nicky and Sila Lee who are co-authors of 'The Marriage Book'. They started the course in 1996 and there are now thousands of courses running around the world.
WHO IS IT FOR?
If you are in a long term, committed relationship, whether cohabitating or married, and would like to make your relationship the best it can be, this course is for you. Whatever your situation, the practical tools you learn will help improve and strengthen your relationship.
While The Marriage Course is based on Christian principles, it is designed for any couple with or without a Christian faith or church background. Whatever your situation, the practical tools you learn will help improve and strengthen your relationship.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
Each evening begins with a lovely meal at a table for two, giving you space to relax and chat. There will be practical talks, presented on DVD, that are informative and fun, as well as time to discuss the talks privately with your partner. There is no group work, so relax - you will not have to share anything about your relationship with anyone else!
Over the seven sessions you will discover practical tools to help you:
o Understand each other’s needs
o Communicate more effectively
o Grow closer through resolving conflict
o Heal the ways you’ve hurt each other
o Recognise how your upbringing affects your relationship
o Improve relationships with parents and in-laws
o Develop greater sexual intimacy
o Discover each other’s love languages and much more!
WHAT IS THE COST?
There is a suggested donation of £95 per couple which covers the cost of the meals for the seven evenings plus the course materials. You can pay here. Bursaries may be available so please don't let cost deter you from joining us.
