We would love you to join us at St John’s Students as we explore faith and build community together.

If you are looking for a church to call home, you have come to the right place. The vision of St John’s Hampton Wick is to Love Jesus, Build Community, Transform Lives and at Students we live this out through our Connect Groups, socials and events. We are a church of invitation and love to meet your housemates and course mates - bring them along!

We’re passionate about being creative and brave on this adventure of faith - we are so excited to go on this journey with you and hope that we can help you to reach your full potential in Christ through investing in your discipleship and spiritual giftings.

Check out what we’re up to on Instagram, Facebook and Spotify.

Clare Hogan is our Student Pastor and would love to get to know you, whether you are new to Kingston, are interested in getting involved at St John’s or just fancy a chat!

Come and say hi to her in church, or pop her a message at clarehogan@stjohnshamptonwick.org.

Sundays 6pm

Most of our students and 20s-30s join us at the 6pm. Starting with 15 minutes cafe time to chat and catch up, it’s a relaxed service of extended worship, teaching and ministry.

After the service we hang out at church which is a really great opportunity to get to know new people.

If you prefer the family vibe, join us at 9 or 11am instead!

The Sunday Service is the best way to be part of the church community and spend time with God, but it’s in Connect Groups where the relationships are really formed. Join us at one of our Connect Groups to explore the Bible and pray together, make friends and eat cake with like-minded students - contact Clare if you would like to join one or find out more. Once a month we meet together as a whole community of students to host a worship night or big social, all the details will be posted on our Instagram page.

student weekend away

The highlight of the Student calendar is our annual weekend away. This year we are going to Malshanger House on the edge of Basingstoke on the 1st-3rd November. With the theme of Awakening it’s going to be an incredible weekend with strong talks and worship, great community and fun activities - we’ve only got 25 spaces this year, so make sure you sign up below before they all go!

Student Weekend Away 2019

The Living Room Cafe and Study Space

Every Wednesday morning the church opens up as a community cafe and study space, with affordable tea, coffee and cake served between 10-12am, free WiFi, and plug socket spaces available until 3pm. They often have special offers available for students, so grab your laptop and a study buddy and pop by!

The Alpha Course

Each term we run an Alpha course - a series of interactive sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith. There’s no pressure, no follow up and no charge - find out about our next course here.
