Then I will send rain…

“then I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil..” – Deuteronomy 11:14

This morning we met again to pray – and worship God in the summer sunlight.   After this weekend’s cold rains, we had a sense of reaping a spiritual harvest after all the rain on the land, both spiritual and physical.   What an amazing weekend for thinking of our God-Given Queen and all she has given to the World.    We continued to pray for her and the impact of her ministry.  We prayed for others in Government that they would be filled with wisdom.   We prayed for Brixton Prison and the resettlement programme there.   And for those working in the justice system.   We prayed for the new development of 160 homes at Sandy Lane from which we already have a few families as regular members.   We thanked God for the awesome presence and renewed friendship of our Sea Cadet Unit.   We asked God that this spirit of local community would continue to thrive!

Later today we’ve been enjoying a quiet day to do the kinds of things one does on quiet days!   ‘Important / Not Urgent’ tasks so often get left behind, don’t they?    I’ve been Googling about this ‘Latter Rain‘ concept in the Bible.  Fascinating stuff.  I want to know more.   Looking forward to Jerry’s sermon this weekend on our next Jesus Value – Obedience.   What a great subject and praying blessings on Jerry as he prepares it.    Be blessed wherever you are as you read this – and know God’s delight at our united prayer!

Are you praying from where you are?  Post AMEN!   (you can now be permanently logged in to this site via your Facebook Profile by clicking ‘Connect with Facebook)
